When a judge released Cornealious "Mike" Anderson from prison in May of 2014, some might have said it was "nothing short of a miracle" (read all about that here: Cornealious Michael Anderson III, Freed from Prison, Reunites with Family). He has no probation and received credit for time served, despite spending all but the last ten months of his thirteen year sentence a free man.
It's harder to characterize what happened next -- six months later, officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department arrested Anderson as he was walking to his car in downtown late at night and charged him for a purse snatching. Four months after that, he was cleared and the St. Louis Circuit Attorney issued him a public apology. This was due in part to an investigation into Anderson's alibi by myself, but also by his wife.
